All Talk but No Action

There will always be individuals that tries to impress everyone and like to think their the best until there comes a situation where they can no longer hide their flaws, but till then their self esteem is very high. The best way to reveal the truth is without forced or perhaps not even planned is when the truth is easily revealed. Nothing can be predicted the way you picture it and when its not, things turn out better than expected.

People always seem to be thinking about situations where one can say a thing and do another, for example like swimming, one can say they are really good at swimming, but when it comes down on the actual swimming. They won’t admit that they had over exaggerated on that they said they could do unless an emergency situation comes along, in this case drowning. Other examples to this kind of scenario could be like an exam when teacher tells us that we have an exam coming up, everyone in the class explains that they are ready and don’t need anymore practice even though they all haven’t studied, on exam day everyone fails. The truth will be revealed sooner or later it just a matter of time. Sometimes you will figure it out right away and sometimes we have be patient. These are few moments where people get frustrated and sometimes angry because its obvious that they are not good but yet they won’t stop bragging about how good they are. Those who are still in the state of mind that don’t want to believe that they can’t accomplish what they stated, they just don’t want to face failure and afraid of criticism from others and this could be a challenge for many people. The way others speak can be totally different from the way they act. Anybody can say loads of things their good at or what they can do, but in reality can they really accomplish what the say.

Writers Wanted

To whom may it concern,

 I saw the advertisement for wanted writers. Everyday I keep a daily journal where I express how I feel and how my day was, whether its written in a poems, lyrics, or paragraphs they are all about my day and what I did. My strongest strength is listening to others and what they have to say, their opinions. I am very opened to others ideas and their contribute could be important. Speaking is another strong skill of mine. I don’t have any trouble with due to always being in the english speaking environment. Thinking can sometimes allow my brain to twist but usually if I think in a positive way it uncoils. Reading one of my favorite things to do when I have spare time. Depending on the reading material magazines are my go to reading picks. Writing is one of the weaker points I have but I have improved a lot from the past by writing a daily journal and reading. Till this day, I’ve had over 20 years of experience from writing stories, essays, poems, and even shakespeare. My favorite part about writing is the feed back others return, everybody has their own opinions. I’ve received lots of positive comments on my work and occasionally a negative response is given, which I personally like because it helps me improve on my mistakes. The main thing I want to focus on is my use of words whether its in essays or conversations. I want to expand my vocabulary and not only use the typical boring words that everyones heard of. Thanks to the technology we have today, the internet has everything I need, but often I try to going to bookstores or libraries to read different types of books and formats they are written in to get some inspiration on how to write better. My goals are that I must not procrastinate on my work till the last minute, when writing I must stay on task and not get distracted by others, I might not understand how to do the assignment, but will ask if need and I can reach my goals. In conclusion, I write whether I’ve been told to or on my own time, but I write the best when I’m under a little pressure because it forces me to use my brain to its full potential.

Forgiveness

The shadows behind each petal represents humbleness. The relaxing shade of pink softly allows those for forgiveness. The sweetness of the fresh air fills many with joy. The rays of sun shining down upon everyone who deserves a second chance and a chance for change. What delight the blossom brings us, to a start of a new adventure, a journey, and forget the past. Try to leave it all behind, theres no going back.

Fall back or Spring ahead?

The bright shining sunlight blinding my eyes peaking out my blinds on a cold, but sunny day. The blossoms in yard begins to bloom which is a sign of spring. The colours of all the flowers and trees makes me want to be outside everyday, rather then being stuck inside with the artificial light. Loosing an hour of sleep is always a down fall to spring and when the pollen and allergies starts to ruin my days spent outdoors. There is always a love hate relationship between me and the season, spring.

Pure white with the Palest pink

Each little pink cherry blossom on its fragile twigs and branches try to stay on strong, before the wind blows it away. The rich pink petals on the Sakura trees makes each block of the neighbourhood look an aisle of a wedding, so calming and peaceful. Once it starts blooming, it holds on before as long as it can until it falls away like down confetti on new years day. Summer is being to arrive once the pretty petals pile up on the roads.

Mondays Aren't So Bad After All

So far the best monday of our lives! Guess what happened? No, it wasn't a pro-d day, but we got to meet the cast of iCarly and Victorious! Two of our favourite tv shows that we loved watching after school!
Everyday we would turn on the tv and limit our selves to watching two shows and then start doing the homework for the day, conviently the two shows we loved watching were back to back.
Both iCarly and Victorious are sitcoms, the show itself is always hilarious and gives us a good laugh all the time, even after having a bad day at school.
When I heard that the cast of the two shows were going to be filming at Byng, we completely freaked out! It was like one stone hitting two birds!
The people who we watched almost everyday since it's very first episode is going to be at our school for two days, it was insane!
Which meant we had a fifty percent chance of getting to meet them!
We were ready to do some celebrity stalking!
We got up extra early on the days that we knew they would be filming.
The first thing we when we got to school saw were all the big movie trailers in the basketball courts, huge cameras everywhere and of course the directors yelling at everyone.
Finally after going to the "washroom" like ten billion times, and having some of our teachers thinking we had a medical issue or something, but we finally got to see one of the actress!
She was extremely down to earth and so nice and completely different from the role she plays on the show, which was a good thing!
We got to talk to her tell her a few jokes that we knew, it was just awesome!
She signed the poster we had brought and we got to take a picture together, it was unreal!
Later on the day, one after the other we meet the other two cast members who we were waiting for and they were super duper nice as well!
I think my friend and I were the only ones who met every single one of the cast members and had an actual conversation with as if we were all buddies!
One thing we thought was kind of ironic was that we were probably the only ones who were obsessed trying to meeting them and at the same time we are also the oldest in the school and the show it targeted towards maybe ten to fifteen year olds. Oh well, at least we got to meet famous celebrities!
All in all, we're glad that big production companies and film director like using Byng in their movies because that means having a greater chance meeting more celebrities!

Geist Sentence Contest

The city that pours in the moistened air with rain all winter, but when summer comes along, the sun comes out and shines like a star along with a cool warm breeze, VANCOUVER.

Where The World Began

       The world began way back when there were no humans existing, but dinosaurs. Theoretically my world began in november when I was born, but as an infant I don’t actually remember that much. Although the excitement certainly began when I entered fifth grade, where we all learned a little more about the world, and where I met my best friends till this day. We always did everything together, no one could ever detach us,we were glued together like peanut butter and jelly. Although our teachers would constantly try to do so. Our adventures kept on getting more exciting day by day, but we all had one life long dream, that we knew was probably impossible to come true, but it was that we would all go to DisneyLand together.
       Riding all the horrific rides, finding the magnificent Minnie and Mickey Mouse’s mansion, and go to all the pretty princesses’ palace. Constantly we would talk about how extraordinary it would be if we got to travel together! We did everything in the universe we could to convince them to bring us! We did dishes, laundry, homework, all day and all night, we became the little maids in our house. After finishing our chores and homework was usually the best time to ask about the trip because that was when our parents were in the best mood.  Until one day, the last day before spring break started to be exact, our parents decided surprise us and announced that we were going on the trip of our lives. I think it was partly because they got tired of listening to the same old speech every night. Not only did we get to go to the happiest place on earth, but we got there by a disney cruise, which was total a bonus. That was a week was unforgettable, the cruise was unreal. It was like a never ending paradise. Every morning when we had school we would be a pain to be waken up, but during our trip we would wake up early enough to make it to breakfast and explore the ship by ourselves without our parents! The pool deck was our favorite. Not only was there a Donald Duck swimming pool and hot tub, but there was a huge breathtaking crystal clear water slide which went up and down and around and even off the side of the ship! Each day was a new adventure, we would meet other kids on the ship, go watch incredible shows,eat at delicious the buffet it was nothing comparable to staying at home or being at school.  As for in disneyland my favorite ride was space mountain. It felt like we were space, with all the flashing stars in the “sky”, the ride goes so fast the cool breeze makes it feel like your actually in space. Best of all, we got to meet and greet with all the princesses who we dreamed of seeing. Where they were at the magic kingdom in their dazzling dreamy dresses      Fifth was the beginning of my world because that was when I met my awesome friends and where all my endless spectacular stories began. So far that has been my trip of a lifetime and a dream come true. Hopefully one day in my world I will experience a trip like that again.
